GMC Employees Adopt A National Guard Unit
GMC Employees hope to rally the troops by adopting a Montana National Guard unit stationed in Afghanistan. This unit was chosen because of their connection to GMC and our area. Members of the unit include Jen Fladager's (Acute Care) husband, Stewart; Wyn Walker's (Acute Care) cousin, Brandon McLinden; and Sharon Bruner's (Emergency Services) son, Tyrel Bain, to name a few.
If you are interested in donating items to be sent to the unit in care packages, please drop them off at Julie Borst's office in Patient Care Services or the Acute Care Break Room. The goal is to send out the first package by August. The group hopes to send additional packages throughout their deployment.
Remember - It takes several weeks to ship packages to Afghanistan, so it's never too early to start thinking of Holiday ideas.
If you have questions, you can contact Wyn Walker, Acute Care Ward Clerk, at extension 3310. Thanks for your support in helping all of us remember our local men and women during their time away from their family and friends!
