GMC Hires Hospitalist

Glendive, Montana, August 12, 2014 - - Glendive Medical Center (GMC) is pleased to announce that Maria Schnitzer, MD will join the medical staff at GMC as a Hospitalist in August. She has done locum tenens work in various parts of the country for the past several years, and most recently worked for GMC. "I truly enjoy locum tenens work, but I look forward to settling down and making a home here in Glendive. My colleagues know who I am and we work well together. I enjoy rural healthcare, as I tend to feel more protective towards my patients and rural healthcare gives a little more opportunity to be able to do this," Dr. Schnitzer said.

Dr. Schnitzer earned her degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago, IL in 1994. She completed her residency at Michigan State University School of Medicine in both General Surgery and Family Practice. Dr. Schnitzer is board certified in Family Medicine and just recently completed a Fellowship in Hospitalist Medicine.
