Ladies Day Out at the Rose
Ladies Day Out is Glendive Medical Center's (GMC) annual women's breast cancer education and awareness outing that began in 2005. This free event takes place at the Rose Theatre in Glendive the first Sunday in October and is co-sponsored by the GMC Auxiliary. Ladies Day Out provides area women with information on breast cancer prevention, treatment and recovery, as well as an afternoon of free entertainment.
The event begins with an educational talk given by one of GMC's medical professionals. Next, an individual who has been directly impacted by breast cancer will share their personal story. After the talks, a movie is shown free of charge, thanks to the generosity of the Kessel family at the Rose Theatre and the GMC Auxiliary. Free popcorn and pop are also provided.
Ladies are given complimentary gift bags at the door and have the opportunity to win a broad array of prizes donated by event sponsors. It's a wonderful way to spend the afternoon with a special woman in your life!
