Retirement


401(k) - Staff members may elect to contribute some of their own earnings on a tax deferred basis for the purpose of retirement savings. GMC provides a matching contribution up to 2% based on the employee's contribution.

Profit Sharing - Contributions to the plan will be determined by the Board of Trustees and Administration on an annual basis. Eligible staff members must be at least 18 years of age and must work a minimum of 1000 hours and be employed on last day of plan year.

Insurance Benefits


Health Benefit Plan - GMC provides Health, Dental, Vision and Prescription Drug coverage to all staff members who work a minimum of 35 hours per pay period. Coverage begins the first of the month following 59 days of employment. Full-time staff will pay a minimum of $55 toward the monthly premium. Part-time staff will pay a prorated portion based on hours worked.

Life Insurance - GMC provides $10,000 in Term Life coverage to all staff members, at no cost, who work a minimum of 35 hours per pay period. Coverage begins the first of the month following 90 days of employment. Staff members have the option to purchase additional Term Life and/or Accidental Death and Dismemberment coverage.

Long Term Disability Insurance - GMC provides Long Term Disability (LTD) insurance to all staff members, at no cost, who work a minimum of 40 hours per pay period. Coverage begins the first of the month following 90 day of employment. In the event a staff member becomes disabled resulting in more than 90 days away from work, the LTD will pay up to 60% of the pre-disability income with a maximum of $6,000 per month.

Pharmacy HRA - Employees enrolled in the Health Benefit Plan are eligible for up to $100 paid toward prescriptions filled at Gabert Clinic Pharmacy that are processed through payroll deduct.

Time Off From Work


Bereavement Leave - Bereavement leave is provided for full-time and part-time staff members should a death occur in their immediate family. Full-time staff members are provided up to 32 hours of bereavement leave. Part-time staff members are paid bereavement benefits according to scheduled work days lost not to exceed 32 hours.

Extended Illness Bank - Following the completion of the introductory period, extended illness hours are earned on all regular and benefit hours paid. Accrual rate for extended illness hours is .0462 per hour (240 hour maximum). (Hourly maximums and accrual schedules may vary based on job classification.)

Jury Duty Leave - Staff members summoned to jury duty will be allowed time away from work without loss of earnings or benefits. (Pay will be regular straight time rate for scheduled hours worked up to 80 hours per pay period.)

Paid Time Off (PTO) Bank (hourly accrual is based on a full-time staff member) - PTO hours are earned on all regular and benefit hours paid. Accrual rate for PTO hours: 0 to 4 years (.06923 per hour) = 144 hours per year (320 hour maximum) • 4 or more years (.08846 per hour) = 184 hours per year (400 hour maximum). (Hourly maximums and accrual schedules may vary based on job classification.)

Additional Benefits


Continuing Education - GMC understands the value of additional education to employees. GMC may elect to assist a professional/technical staff member with part or all costs related to educational programs in their related field.

Employee Exercise Program - For a fee of $5.00 per month, all staff members may use GMC's exercise facility on their own time during posted hours.

Employee Recognition - GMC utilizes a Peer-to-Peer recognition program called R.I.C.E. Employees are recognized for demonstrating our values of Respect, Integrity, Compassion, and Excellence. Employees may also be nominated for "Employee of the Quarter" after 1 year of service. One employee will be selected each quarter and will receive a party, cash, a special designated parking space, and a display photograph. Employees are also recognized for their Years of Service with GMC.

Flex Spending - Staff members may elect to set aside money for out-of-pocket medical expenses and/or dependent care in a Flexible Spending Account. These amounts are redirected from the employee's salary before it is subject to Federal and State income taxes and Social Security taxes.

Jeans for Charity - By donating $1.00 per pay period to the program, staff members may wear jeans to work on the last Friday of the month. The money goes toward a charitable community cause each month.

Medical Services Discount - After one full year of continuous employment, a 20% discount will be applied for services provided to staff members at GMC, both in-patient and out-patient, after all insurance payments are received.

Pharmacy Discount - Staff members may purchase over-the-counter drugs at a discounted rate for themselves as well as their dependents at the Gabert Clinic Pharmacy.

Recruitment Incentives - GMC may offer a Sign on Bonus, Tuition Re-imbursement, and/or Relocation Assistance for select open positions. The Human Resources Recruiter can provide additional information.
