Q: Should I notify my insurance company before having something done?
A: All insurance policies vary. You should always call your insurance to verify coverage and ensure a procedure does not have to be prior authorized.

Q: How much will it cost?
A: We can give you a price estimate for most of our common procedures. Please ask your ordering physician for a CPT code, and call us at (406)345-3352 or (406)345-8934.

Q: Will Glendive Medical Center bill my insurance for me?
A: If you are insured and have provided us with your current insurance information, we have already billed your insurance company.

We allow 30 days from billing for your insurance company to make payment. If your account is not paid in that time, we will ask you for assistance to obtain payments from your insurance company.

You are responsible for charges not covered by your insurance. Your insurance can provide you with more information regarding your benefits.

To conserve paper and resources, summary bills are mailed for all Inpatient, Same Day Surgery, and Emergency Room accounts. You may request an itemized copy of these bills by calling (406)345-3350.

Q: What if the Insurance Information is incorrect on my Itemized, Summary, or Billing Statement?
A: Please call (406)345-3350 to update your information. Please note that all BlueCrossBlueShield plans must be sent through Montana, regardless of what state your plan is out of.

Q: Why did my insurance deny the claim?
A: The most common reasons for denial of a claim:
The service you received is not considered in your plan's network
The service you received was not covered by your plan.
You were not covered by your plan at the time of service.
You did not provide the correct insurance information at the time of service.

Q: Will you hold my account if the charges are the result of an injury?
A: We cannot delay charges while liability claims or legal action is pending. Full payment remains the responsibility of the patient. Upon proper authorization, Glendive Medical Center can make the records available to necessary parties.

Q: Why am I being charged for this?
A: Please call us at (406)345-3350 and tell us the charge you have a question about, along with your account number beginning with G, and date of service.

Q: What if I cannot pay my bill?
A: You may be eligible for financial assistance. Download the Uncompensated Care application to apply for our financial assistance program

Q: What is my deductible?
