Skilled Chemotherapy Treatment
Chemotherapy services are available at GMC enabling patients to receive their treatment closer to home!
Chemotherapy is administered in the Out Patient Care Department located in Surgery. Registered Nurses certified in chemotherapy administer the medications as ordered by the patient's oncologist. Brock Whittenberger MD, Oncologist from Billings Clinic sees oncology/hematology patients at GMC monthly. The chemotherapy nurses also provide care to patients of oncologists from other medical facilities in our region. GMC's General Surgeon, Joseph Leal, MD, is involved in the patient's care; surgically placing Groshong and Portacath access devices.
