Medicare, Medicaid and many insurance companies are now covering home health care. For your convenience, Glendive Medical Center (GMC) bills your insurance company directly. If there is a service that you want which is not covered by insurance, any additional cost will be discussed with you and your family in advance.

Your Medical Provider personally supervises your care by developing a plan for your treatment. He/she will receive detailed reports on your condition from the Home Care staff.

Home Care offers a complete range of skilled nursing care and related therapies in your home under the direction of your Medical Provider. GMC Home Care is a Medicare certified, nonprofit agency licensed by the state. Home Care is available to anyone, regardless of age. To be eligible to receive insurance reimbursement for Home Care, there must be a medical need and it must be a taxing effort for a person to leave home. Anyone can request help - a friend, a relative, the Medical Provider or the client. A registered nurse will make an initial visit to assess your care needs and determine whether you meet the guidelines for Medicare or insurance coverage of home care. Before treatment is given, your medical provider is contacted. Your Provider will write the order for your care plan.
