Room Service
All hospital patients receive "Room Service" as the primary meal source. Meals will be available on demand during hours of operation (7am - 6:30pm) and will be delivered within 45 minutes of order.Glendive Medical Center (GMC) staff will provide daily meal service in a safe and timely manner to the patients; all meals meet standards for accuracy, temperature, and quality.
Inpatients at GMC may use room service to request meals daily from 7am - 6:30pm.
Patients will select from a restaurant style menu; prescribed diets will be adhered to.
Meal requests are made by telephone to the kitchen by dialing ext. FOOD (3663). All requests are adjusted as needed, based on dietary restrictions. Final meal orders will be given to production staff to assemble and deliver tray.
Meals will be delivered to the patient within 45 minutes after the order has been placed, unless another time has been selected.
All meals are checked for accuracy, quality and adherence to temperature standards, prior to delivery.
Patients may request meals and snacks as needed for themselves each day during the hours of operation. Food Service Supervisor will verify that patients are ordering on a regular basis.
Food Service Supervisor will check with patients who have not ordered by 9:00 am for breakfast, 1:00 pm for lunch, and 6:00 pm for dinner.
If the patient has not eaten for two meals, the Food Service Supervisor will notify the Dietitian. The Dietitian will then visit the patient and assess the needs.
